Inspired by a DJ trip to Istanbul. I wanted to capture an Arabic feel. I wrote the guitar line and built the track around it. Jane and Jimmy did the rest. I actually went away for awhile to spin, came back and it was done. I don't know if you're familiar with Emilie Autumn. She's a big deal in the Goth world, kind of a Tori Amos of Goth. Anyway The Inside was originally supposed to be me and her. She actually cut a rough demo of lyrics and vocals for this song and one other. They're on a CD around here somewhere.
