This project began 2 years ago as I was having dinner here in Berlin with Delano Smith and Patrice Scott. We were having fun and talking shit but I felt like the odd man out (as usual) because I was techno and they were house. I wanted to get out of the monotone techno bubble and make something the brothers would play. Something deep, or my version of deep, which isn't very deep.
I also saw how the house dudes were getting booked, wink.
Anyway, I went home and started working on what would become the "Illuminati Child" EP, which I made all on MASCHINE.
After I finished it, I ended up at Tresor on a Finale Sessions showcase night and I met Mr. Michael Zucker. I told him I had a house EP ready and he told me to send it. It was cool because the melodic guys like Steven Tang, Stuart Li and Luke Hess were in his orbit, not bad company as I was looking to reboot my image somewhat. All nice guys personally, as well.
Mike took it right away. I was shocked at how quick. I originally wanted this to be an alias name on a white label. But Mike was like "No! Put your name on it! And we'll do a full jacket! And you can draw it!" I was like "OK." LOL. Alias out, AO name and artwork in.
So there you have it. It's out now on vinyl as well. Please buy. I owe my lawyer money and I want to hire a publicist.
